Nevadaville Heritage Foundation is committed to clearly explaining its organizational status, current projects and the boundaries between NHF’s charitable work and separate private or commercial activities.
Nevadaville Heritage Foundation is a Partner Project of Colorado Nonprofit Development Center, a nonprofit charity exempt from federal income tax under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
CNDC provides the legal and financial framework for NHF’s charitable activities. NHF operates through this fiscal-sponsorship relationship rather than as a separate independent 501(c)(3) organization.
Restore Nevadaville is a separate initiative from Nevadaville Heritage Foundation. NHF charitable funds are not used for Restore Nevadaville commercial or private-development activities.
House 72 is privately owned and funded and is not a project or asset of NHF. NHF funds are not used for its construction, restoration, maintenance or private use.
History Colorado’s State Historical Fund accepted NHF’s letter of intent and invited the project to proceed to a competitive full application. The proposed project focuses on historic-resource documentation and preservation planning for Nevadaville.
The full application is due October 1, 2026. Grant funding has not been awarded.
