Preserving Nevadaville’s History for Public Benefit
Nevadaville Heritage Foundation works to preserve, document, interpret and share the historic resources and stories of Nevadaville, Colorado.
Our work brings together archival research, historic photographs, maps, surviving buildings, foundations, mining features and community knowledge to help build a stronger historical record of this important Colorado mining community.

Nevadaville still contains physical and documentary evidence of Colorado’s early mining history, but much of that history remains scattered across archives, private collections, surviving structures and the landscape itself.
NHF was created to help bring that information together, identify preservation priorities and make Nevadaville’s history more accessible to the public.
Founder Jake Westling’s connection to Nevadaville began through the acquisition and preservation of a privately owned historic cabin. That experience led to deeper research into the town’s history and ultimately to the creation of a separate charitable effort focused on Nevadaville as a whole.
House 72 is privately owned and funded and is not a project or asset of NHF.
